In the books, it is said the Vale is capable of fielding upwards of 45,000 men. Perhaps most importantly, House Arryn of The Eyrie has declared for the Starks, through the regent Petyr Baelish. Jon Snow has been declared the King in the North, and now commands an army consisting of wildlings led by Tormund Giantsbane, and the forces of House Mormont, House Manderly, House Glover, and House Cerwyn, among others. Following the Battle of Winterfell, the northern houses have once again rallied to the Stark banner.
